Kozhikode North Assembly constituency leads Kozhikode district with the highest number of absent, shifted, or dead category voters. Out of 1,84,784 enumeration forms distributed, 23,709 were not returned, about 12.83%, in the draft electoral roll published on December 23. Kozhikode North is among the top 20 Assembly segments in Kerala with many voters excluded from the list during the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR). In Kozhikode South, 18,059 forms were not returned from 1,59,953 distributed, resulting in 11.29% voter exclusions. Balussery saw 17,606 forms missing out of 2,31,532 distributed. The lowest absent or shifted votes are in Koduvally with just 8,129 of 1,90,131 forms unreturned. All three constituencies—Kozhikode North, Kozhikode South, and Balussery—were won by Left Democratic Front candidates in the 2021 Kerala assembly elections. Political parties have begun verifying the draft list. A senior Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader told The Hindu, "Party workers were examining the list at the booth level" and conducting house visits to ensure accuracy before adding or deleting names. Kozhikode District Congress Committee president K. Praveenkumar said, "A detailed Assembly-level verification would be taken up in the coming days and steps would be taken to add genuine voters found missing from the list." He added, "It is a cause for concern that the highest number of voters have been excluded in constituencies where the BJP has an upper hand." Other constituencies with notable voter exclusions include Vadakara (10,488), Kuttiyadi (12,007), Nadapuram (13,221), Koyilandy (15,051), Perambra (12,053), Elathur (12,115), Beypore (17,234), Kunnamangalam (15,761), and Thiruvambady (10,746).
