Gen Mohammed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad, Libya's army chief, died in an air crash in Turkey. He was on a Falcon 50 aircraft with four others. The plane took off from Ankara airport bound for Tripoli. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya posted on X that the plane's signal was lost at 20:52 local time, about 42 minutes after takeoff.
