The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert for 11 districts in Telangana for Sunday. Cold wave conditions are expected in isolated pockets of Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy. Hyderabad and nearby areas will have mainly clear skies in the next 24 hours. The IMD bulletin stated, "Fog and misty conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. Mist or hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning or night hours." Minimum temperatures in these districts are forecasted to fall between 3°C and 4°C over the next two days. Maximum and minimum temperatures in Hyderabad are expected to be around 29°C and 11°C, respectively. Meanwhile, data from the Telangana Development Planning Society shows that between December 19 and 20, 29 districts recorded minimum temperatures of 10°C or lower. Kohir (Sangareddy) had the lowest minimum temperature at 4.5°C, while the University of Hyderabad recorded 6.3°C inside GHMC limits. Other low temperatures included 7.5°C in Uppal and 10°C in Marredpally. Various other districts recorded cold snaps with minimums ranging from 4.8°C in Sirpur to 8.9°C in Dharmapuri. Remaining districts had temperatures between 9°C and 12°C.
