A Head Constable from the city cyber crime police station has been suspended for allegedly stealing ₹11 lakh cash and valuables from a suspect's car. The Vidhana Soudha police registered an FIR against Zabeeullah Gadiyal following a complaint by the cyber crime station inspector. On December 13, Zabeeullah and a colleague seized a car belonging to a suspect at Devanahalli. The car was taken to the station for inquiry. Later, Zabeeullah is accused of stealing a bag containing cash and other valuables from the car. The suspect, who obtained anticipatory bail, later checked the car and found the cash bag missing. After the complaint, police recovered the stolen cash and charged Zabeeullah with theft and criminal breach of trust.
