Kadapa Police Top State with Case Disposal, Crime Reduction and Cybercrime Fight in 2025

Kadapa district police focused on clearing pending cases and improving citizen outreach in 2025. The district topped the state twice in disposing of cases during the National Mega Lok Adalat. A total of 57,632 cases were settled through Lok Adalats across police station limits. The Public Grievance Redressal System saw 9,300 of 9,704 complaints resolved within deadlines.
Superintendent of Police Nachiket Vishwanath Shelke highlighted key crime drops. Murder cases fell by 9%, factional violence nearly vanished, riots dropped by 33%, and white-collar crimes decreased by 16%. Attempt to murder cases fell 9%, SC/ST atrocity cases went down 9%, and kidnappings of women dropped by 33%. Dowry deaths saw a sharp 67% fall.
Cybercrime was a rising challenge with 57 cases reported. The police solved 33 cases and arrested 62 offenders. Victims lost ₹16.47 crore, but only ₹21.52 lakh was recovered. Officials froze ₹3.05 crore across 135 bank accounts linked to 4,693 transactions.
Mr. Shelke inspected stolen valuables recovered after Yerraguntla police caught a bag-lifting gang. They recovered goods worth ₹75 lakh, including 507 grams of gold, 1.5 kg silver, ₹61,000 cash, and a car worth ₹4 lakh. Nine accused from Godavari district involved in 23 cases were arrested.
Kadapa police's efforts in speedy case disposal and crime reduction earned them top rankings and safer communities in 2025.
