The Telangana Housing Board announced it will allot 339 single-bedroom flats for Lower Income Groups (LIG) in Gachibowli, Warangal, and Khammam through a lucky draw. The flats measure between 450 and 650 sq ft. Eligibility is for those with an annual income of up to ₹6 lakh. Interested candidates can apply online via MeeSeva or the official website https://tghb.cgg.gov.in by January 3, 2026. There are 111 flats in Gachibowli, near AIG Hospital; 126 in Khammam’s Sri Ram Hills; and 102 near Warangal Railway Station. Prices range from ₹26 lakh to ₹36.20 lakh in Gachibowli, ₹19 lakh to ₹21.50 lakh in Warangal, and ₹11.25 lakh in Khammam. Regarding construction, 76 flats in Gachibowli were built in 2018 and 35 in 2023. The flats in Warangal and Khammam were built in 2023 with private company partners. V.P. Gautham, the Board's Vice Chairman, said, "the prices are lower than the commercial market rates." The lucky draw dates are January 6 for Gachibowli, January 8 for Warangal, and January 10 for Khammam. Previously, land parcels and Rajiv Swagruha housing units were also allotted through lucky draws. This initiative aims to help lower income families own affordable homes in key Telangana cities.
