On December 21, MLA Channareddy Patil called on officers to ensure all eligible children in Yadgir receive polio drops. He spoke at an event in Bhavani temple, Yadgir city, after giving polio drops to a child himself. "Yadgir district has 166,693 eligible children below five years. Officers must cover these children and visit houses or public places," he said. Deputy Commissioner Harshal Bhoyar added, "Polio drops administration is a national programme. The public should cooperate and come to officers for vaccination." Chief Executive Officer Lavish Ordia said the pulse polio drive started on December 21 and will last until December 24 to cover all children. Staff visited spots like the railway station and bus stands to give drops. District Health Officer Mahesh Biradar urged public support to make Yadgir polio-free. Other officials present were RCH Officer Mallappa, THO Hanumanth Reddy, Tulsiram Chavan, Suresh Reddy, and Tippanna.
