On Sunday afternoon, a lorry driver drunk behind the wheel crashed into over six vehicles at different spots on Chandapura Road in Anekal taluk. The Uttar Pradesh-registered lorry was driven by Prem, 35. He was traveling from a warehouse in Attibele towards Chandapura. The driver first hit two vehicles in Anekal, seriously injuring two people, then fled. He went on to crash into three more vehicles in Surya City and another near Attibele police limits. The driver avoided police and public for nearly 10 km before being caught. Locals beat him and handed him to the police. The driver was injured and is receiving hospital treatment. Anekal police registered a case of rash and negligent driving. The two injured individuals are now out of danger.
