Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) saw 97 flight cancellations on Sunday, December 21, 2025, due to thick fog and poor visibility. An airport official confirmed that 48 arrivals and 49 departures were called off. According to the flight tracking site Flightradar24.com, more than 200 flights were delayed, with an average wait time of about 23 minutes for departures. Despite the disruptions, Delhi airport operator DIAL said in a noon post on X that "operations are running smoothly." IGIA is India’s largest airport, typically handling around 1,300 flights every day. The fog has been causing flight troubles at Delhi and other airports for several days in a row.
