The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a 3°C to 4°C drop in minimum temperatures in isolated parts of Telangana over the next two days. Despite the chill, no cold wave alert has been issued for any district in the state. The IMD bulletin dated December 15, 2025, says dry weather will continue. Hyderabad and nearby areas will see mainly clear skies in the next 24 hours. Mist or hazy conditions are likely during early mornings and nights. Maximum and minimum temperatures in Hyderabad are expected to be around 30°C and 14°C respectively. According to Telangana Development Planning Society data from December 14 to 15, seven districts recorded minimum temperatures falling below 10°C. Sirpur in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district experienced the lowest at 7.6°C. Other cold spots include Kohir (Sangareddy) at 8.2°C, Bheempoor (Adilabad) at 8.9°C, Moinabad (Rangareddy) at 9.4°C, Gandhari (Kamareddy) at 9.6°C, Mominpet (Vikarabad) at 9.6°C, and Pembi (Nirmal) at 10°C. The remaining 26 districts recorded temperatures between 10°C and 14°C. In urban areas, Uppal in Medchal Malkajgiri recorded a minimum temperature of 10.6°C, while Trimulgherry in Hyderabad saw 11.9°C.
