The Bengaluru police have registered cases against two pubs in the city center for operating beyond permitted hours. One is Bastian Garden City, co-owned by actress Shilpa Shetty. The other is Sourberry Pub on Residency Road, known as the place where Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, was earlier involved in an incident over an obscene hand gesture that led to a police inquiry. Recently, a viral video showed a scuffle between two men at Bastian pub on December 11. The Cubbon Park police took suo motu action after watching the video, noticing the pubs stayed open late. A senior police officer said these cases are part of a wider crackdown on pubs as the New Year approaches. The police aim to enforce rules and maintain order during the festive season.
