Eurostar has cancelled all trains departing London for Paris, Amsterdam, and Brussels following a power outage in the Channel Tunnel. This outage caused a Le Shuttle train to break down. Staff at London St Pancras station have asked passengers to delay their journeys and rebook for later dates. By midday, more than a dozen Eurostar trains between the UK, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands were cancelled. Several others were delayed or rerouted. The Eurotunnel Le Shuttle service carrying vehicles between Folkestone and Calais is also suspended due to a "power supply issue." National Rail expects this disruption to last through the day. Eurostar stated: "Services to and from London are suspended until further notice due to overhead power supply issues in the Channel Tunnel, followed by a failed Le Shuttle train. We advise our customers to re-book their journey for another day, with free exchanges available. We apologise for the disruption and will continue to keep customers updated with the latest information." Passengers stuck on the Le Shuttle in Calais shared their experiences. Ben Clark from Bedfordshire said he has been on board with his family since 10:00 local time. "The first two-and-a-half hours weren't too bad but the girls have got restless," he said. Others reported anger and fatigue. Eurostar offers free changes, refunds, or e-vouchers for affected travelers. Delays on the Le Shuttle are about three to three and a half hours on both UK and French sides. Matthew Webber from Suffolk expressed frustration over limited updates and long queues at Folkestone. Steph Roberts in Calais, stuck since 10:30, mentioned no updates or food were provided. Passengers are keeping busy with social media and walks. Le Shuttle teams are working to fix the power problems.
