The Mysuru City Police have strengthened security for New Year celebrations to keep everyone safe. Special teams led by senior officers will prevent indecent behavior, obscenity, and public nuisance. The police warned, "Legal action will be taken against violators." Pink Garuda patrol vehicles, called Chamundi patrol, staffed by women officers, will focus on women’s safety. A total of 1,113 police personnel, including constables, inspectors, and deputy commissioners, will work to maintain law and order. Additional support includes 10 City Armed Reserve units, five Karnataka State Reserve Police units, and two commando units. Surveillance is boosted with dog squads, bomb detection units, and CCTV cameras at sensitive spots. To stop rash driving, wheeling, drag racing, and loud noises, special traffic enforcement teams will operate citywide.
