The Kozhikode City police arrested two youths, Shameem and Rayees, on Monday, December 29, 2025. They are suspected of sexually abusing a minor girl at a rented flat near Kozhikode beach in Kerala. The police said the youths offered the girl food and free stay on Sunday. Later, she was drugged and sexually abused. She had gone missing from her house in Perinthalmanna last week. The Malappuram police found her on Sunday. The suspects then abandoned her on the beach, giving her ₹4,000 to keep the assault secret. Police said the girl left home after disagreements with her parents. Before reaching Kozhikode beach, she had visited Kasaragod.
