The body of six-year-old Suhan, missing since Saturday morning, was found in a pond near his house in Chittur, Palakkad district, Kerala on Sunday. Suhan, son of Mohammed Anas and Thouhida from Ambattupalayam, disappeared around 11 a.m. on Saturday. A search was launched immediately. The body was handed to the family after a post-mortem at the Government District Hospital confirmed drowning as the cause of death. Chittur municipal chairperson Sumesh Achuthan said the incident is mysterious since the child could not have easily reached the pond. He has demanded an investigation into Suhan's death.
