New Airlines and Routes Set to Boost UAE-India Travel in 2026
December 28, 2025
Travel between the UAE and India is about to get easier and more competitive. Two new airlines, Al Hind Air and FlyExpress, have received government approvals to start flights in 2026. These additions come as demand from Indian expatriates, tourists, students, and business travelers grows.
Al Hind Air, backed by the Kerala-based Alhind Group, will focus on South India, starting from Kochi. They plan to offer bundled packages including flights, insurance, and transfers. FlyExpress from Hyderabad will serve Central and Western India, connecting smaller cities directly and offering passenger and cargo services to keep prices low.
The Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has opened and many airlines, including Akasa Air and Air India Express, have shifted UAE flights there to avoid Mumbai’s heavy traffic. NMIA is closer to Pune and New Mumbai business areas. Launch fares are attracting travelers to this new airport.
Air India Express hit 100 aircraft and now flies nonstop from Abu Dhabi to Pune and Delhi. Akasa Air adds new Sharjah routes. Flights are scheduled during early mornings or late nights for convenience.
Ticket prices have stabilized. Budget flights between Dubai and major Indian cities now start at AED 350 to 450 if booked weeks ahead. Discounts are available through UAE banks and app codes like "FLYAI" and "HIT". Navi Mumbai routes sometimes offer AED 100–200 cheaper fares than Mumbai’s main airport.
More airlines and routes mean better travel options. But smart planning is key. Booking early and being flexible with airports and dates will help travelers get the best deals on this busy UAE-India corridor.
