Feroke Station Gets ₹2.25 Crore Upgrade with Platform Lift and Parking Expansion
December 27, 2025
The second phase of the Amrut Bharat project is progressing rapidly at Feroke railway station. This phase focuses on the second platform, where a large part of the 536-metre platform is being slightly raised. Railway officials assure that safety measures will be put in place to avoid slip-and-fall accidents once works end.
The government has allocated ₹2.25 crore for this phase. Besides leveling the platform, the project also extends the parking area, builds a portico, adds ornamental lights, and finishes landscaping. Most of these tasks are already done.
The first phase extended the second platform by 186 metres after rail passengers demanded it. Once phase two is finished, new comfort facilities and automatic ticket vending near the second platform are planned. Officials said, "Efforts are underway to secure final approval."
Earlier, the first phase spent ₹7.58 crore to modernize Feroke station. It brought air-conditioned waiting rooms, lifts, modern ticket counters, display boards, charging points, and better parking.
These upgrades aim to make travel smoother and safer for all commuters at Feroke station.
