Kashmir saw temperatures drop below freezing, with Srinagar at -2.6°C and Sonamarg at a chilling -5.8°C. Pahalgam was at -4.8°C, Gulmarg -4.2°C, Qazigund -2.8°C, Kokernag -0.9°C, and Kupwara -3.8°C. The India Meteorological Department said Kashmir will have dry weather till December 29, followed by rain and snow near New Year’s Eve.
