The Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) on Friday, December 26, 2025, extended the deadline to publish polling station-wise voters' lists. Municipal commissioners must now publish these lists, including names of duplicate voters, by January 3. Earlier, the SEC had set December 27 as the deadline. The elections for 29 municipal corporations in the state, including Mumbai, are scheduled for January 15. The counting of votes will happen the following day, January 16. This is the second extension of the voter list publication deadline after initially being set for December 22.
