A new commerce platform from Visakhapatnam, called Payzo, promises instant cashback on local shopping. Founders Shankar D and Vyshnavi Chenna said the mobile app helps users discover nearby stores, make payments, and earn rewards "making local shopping more rewarding." Launched in July 2025, the app aims to support neighborhood businesses, said Mr. Shankar. Ms. Vyshnavi added, "For any other app, the reward points are a promotion strategy. For us, cashback is our USP." The app uses location-based technology to let users browse shops by category, distance, and discounts. After payment, cashback is credited to the user's Payzo balance and can be used for future purchases at partner stores. Merchants get free onboarding through a vendor mobile app, and "all discounts offered on the platform are fully merchant-funded," the founders said. Looking ahead, Payzo plans to add bill payments and product bookings to its services.
