On December 26, 2025, excise officials seized 136 bottles of non-duty paid liquor near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad and at Pahadishareef. Of these, 45 bottles were seized by the Shamshabad District Task Force (DTF). Excise Superintendent Krishnapriya said, "The raids were carried out jointly by the DTF team and staff from the Shamshabad and Serilingampally police stations." Meanwhile, four State Task Force (STF) teams and excise station staff seized an additional 91 bottles during simultaneous inspections in the same area. Officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to find the source of the liquor and those involved in transporting it.
