A Delhi court on Friday, December 26, 2025, granted bail to six protesters arrested during a protest on Kartavya Path. The protest on November 23 at India Gate saw slogans being raised in support of slain Maoist commander Madvi Hidma. The six granted bail are Ilakkiya, Ayisha Wafiya, Ravjot Kaur, Gurkirat Kaur, Abhinash Satyapathi, and Kranti. The police say 23 protesters were arrested in two separate cases at Parliament Street and Kartavya Path police stations. During the protest, some agitators allegedly used pepper spray on police trying to control the situation. Additional Sessions Judge Amit Bansal granted the bail, with a detailed order yet to come.
