The Hyderabad City Police held a coordination meeting with liquor shop owners in the North Zone. The meeting was led by North Zone DCP S Rashmi Perumal. Police warned owners about strict punishments for breaking excise rules or causing safety problems. Owners must follow liquor sale timings and must not sell alcohol to minors. They were told to prevent overcrowding and keep order at their shops. Overcharging, illegal sales, and extending working hours without permission are banned. The police asked owners to install CCTV cameras at entry, exit, billing counters, and common areas. These cameras must work properly and have data backup. Owners must call the police immediately if there are fights, assaults, or medical emergencies. The police will file FIRs quickly against those at fault. Security staff should be trained, fit, alert, and always sober. The police warned that breaking rules or ignoring these instructions will lead to strict legal action. The public is also asked to help by following laws and supporting police efforts to keep safety and order.
