On December 23, 2025, members of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s women’s wing held a protest in Karimnagar. They demanded the removal of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The reason was his action of pulling down a Muslim female doctor’s hijab during a public event in Patna. The protesters gathered at Telangana Chowk and shouted slogans against Nitish Kumar, calling his act "shameless." Leaders of the women’s wing said Nitish Kumar had disrespected his position by pulling the hijab while giving appointment letters to newly recruited AYUSH doctors in Patna over a week ago. After the protest, the group filed a complaint against Nitish Kumar at the two-town police station in Karimnagar.
