Hyderabad BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao sharply criticized Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, saying he has "zero understanding" of river water issues. KTR called the Irrigation Minister "dangerously ignorant." He said former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has fought hard for Telangana’s share of Krishna river water. But the present Congress government lacks the skill and courage to respond. Rama Rao accused the government of deliberately blocking vital irrigation projects like the Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS). He stated BRS had completed 90% of the work, but the government failed to submit the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), thus betraying Telangana’s interests. He said the Congress government plays diversionary politics and performs "case dramas" instead of answering serious questions raised by KCR on irrigation and governance. Rama Rao challenged the Chief Minister to stop leaking stories to the media and clearly state what cases he plans to file. "You are the Home Minister as well. Speak openly than hiding behind leaks," he said. He also claimed the government fears elections due to rising public anger and is instead appointing officials through nominations. "If elections are held, farmers will teach Congress a fitting lesson," Rama Rao warned.
