TCS to Begin Visakhapatnam Delivery Centre in January 2026 With 2,000 Employees
December 22, 2025
IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will start operations from a rented facility at Rushikonda Hill No. 3 in Visakhapatnam by January 2026. The initial setup will house 2,000 employees with an investment of ₹80 crore. The company has already installed its signboard on the Millennium Towers building. Simultaneously, TCS will lay the foundation stone for its permanent campus here, government sources said.
This move follows another boost to Visakhapatnam's IT scene, as Cognizant began operations from a temporary space earlier this month. Leading IT firms like Infosys, Cognizant, and TCS are drawing more tech companies to the city.
O. Naresh Kumar of the Rushikonda IT Parks Association said, "The combined presence of these companies could play a crucial role in transforming the city into a preferred destination for global firms and young professionals."
The State government has leased 2,08,280 sq ft of office space to TCS in Millennium Towers A and B, at ₹29 per sq ft monthly, totaling around ₹60.4 lakh per month. A senior government official explained that the TCS project faced delays due to the denotification of land from the Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone but is now moving forward.
On January 3, 2025, the Industries and Commerce Department announced the plan to set up the TCS Delivery Centre in Visakhapatnam, allotting the office space at concessional rent under the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Policy 2024-29. Later, on April 21, 2025, the government gave 21.16 acres at IT Hill No. 3 to TCS for its permanent campus at ₹0.99 per acre.
TCS aims to invest ₹1,370 crore in the permanent campus project, expected to create around 12,000 jobs in Visakhapatnam.
