Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will reply on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Lok Sabha on the Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill, 2025 (VB-G RAM-G Bill). The discussion on the Bill ended on Wednesday, December 17. On the same day, Lok Sabha passed the nuclear energy bill. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said this bill would help India reach its goal of 100 GW atomic energy by 2047. On Thursday, Lok Sabha will discuss various legislative and policy issues. A special focus will be on air pollution in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) under Rule 193. Meanwhile, in Rajya Sabha, the Sabka Bima Sabki Raksha (Amendment of Insurance Laws) Bill was passed allowing 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the insurance sector. The Upper House also passed the Repealing and Amending Bill, which removes 71 obsolete laws. The new VB-G RAM-G Bill aims to guarantee employment and livelihood in rural areas. The bill replacing MGNREGA has faced criticism, with parties like TDP warning about increased burdens on states.
