Security forces arrested six militants involved in extortion activities in Manipur on Saturday, December 14, 2025. Two women cadres from the United National Liberation Front (Koireng), Takhellambam Sanathoi Chanu (19) and Kongbrailatpam Rameshori Devi (19), were caught in Moirangkampu Sajeb Makha Leikai, Imphal East district. Two active PREPAK (PRO) members, Kshetrimayum Abinash Singh (21) and Rajkumar Daniel Singh (31), were arrested in Canchipur, Imphal West, with a 9mm pistol loaded with 12 rounds and two .38 cartridges seized. Additionally, one UNLF(P) cadre was arrested at Lamphel Super Market, Imphal West, and another PREPAK (PRO) insurgent was nabbed from his home in Kumbi, Bishnupur district. This swift operation took place as authorities continue cracking down on banned organisations in the region.
