The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Telangana will join hands with all gurudwaras in the State to hold a special event on December 14 in Hyderabad. This meeting will honor the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru. The event is set from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Grand Lawns in Jal Vihar, Necklace Road. It will remember the sacrifices made by Guru Tegh Bahadur and his followers Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das, and Bhai Dayala. Organisers say there will be an exhibition on Sikh history, sacrifice, and heritage. Later, there will be recitals of holy hymns and sermons by top Sikh musical groups and scholars. The event will finish with the ‘Guru ka Langar,’ or community kitchen. Gurcharan Singh Bagga, chairman of the Central Committee of Gurudwara Saheban, Telangana, said the event aims to foster unity and respect among communities. He added it shares the Guru’s message of courage, justice, and compassion.
