Germany has accused Russia of a cyber-attack against its air traffic control in August 2024 and trying to interfere in the country's federal election in February. A spokesman for the German foreign ministry said Russian military intelligence was behind the cyber-attack. He added that Russia also sought to "influence and destabilise" the election. Germany has summoned the Russian ambassador over these actions. The spokesman said Germany, working closely with European partners, would respond with counter-measures to "make Russia pay a price for its hybrid actions." There was no immediate response from Russia. This story is developing and will be updated soon.
