Telangana is shivering as near freezing temperatures continue. The coldest spot was Kohir in Sangareddy, where the temperature dropped to 5.8°C between the night of December 11 and morning of December 12. Hyderabad and nearby areas also felt the chill. Moinabad in Rangareddy recorded 6.0°C, University of Hyderabad saw 6.3°C, and Uppal in Medchal Malkajgiri had 7.1°C. No district in the state recorded a minimum temperature above 11°C during this time. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a cold wave alert for 12 districts for December 11, including Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Mahbubabad, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy. Although Hyderabad and its surroundings were not under alert, they recorded some of the lowest temperatures in Telangana.
