The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved major projects and investment proposals worth ₹9,500 crore on Thursday. These moves aim to strengthen infrastructure, urban water management, and boost employment. Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathi shared the updates at the Secretariat. The Cabinet gave the green light to tenders worth ₹532 crore to improve road connectivity by linking the Seed Access Road to National Highway-16 near the capital. Key construction projects in Amaravati, such as Lok Bhavan and Assembly Darbar Hall, also received approval. Additionally, the Governor’s Office guesthouses, staff quarters, and land allocations to several institutions were cleared. Fourteen industrial proposals totaling over ₹15,000 crore were approved. These include investments in special economic zones (SEZs), manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, MSMEs, renewable energy, and agro-processing sectors. These industries are expected to generate thousands of jobs and strengthen Andhra Pradesh's industrial base. In the IT, electronics, and quantum-tech fields, 11 proposals worth ₹1,421 crore were approved. Companies like QpiAI, Qubitech, Cybranex, and others will benefit under IT, Electronics, and LIFT policies, creating more than 3,000 jobs. Notably, a ₹1,140-crore printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing unit by CIPSA TEC India was also approved, boosting the electronics manufacturing sector. The Cabinet also endorsed tourism and cultural development projects under the Department of Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture (YAT&C). These initiatives focus on heritage conservation, tourism infrastructure, and cultural programs. Overall, the Cabinet cleared investments nearing ₹20,000 crore across 26 companies. These projects are expected to produce significant direct and indirect employment in the state.
