Oman Air Launches New Muscat-Taif Flights to Boost Saudi Connections in 2026
December 10, 2025
Oman Air will start a new flight route between Muscat and Taif from January 31, 2026. The service will run three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—using a Boeing 737 aircraft. This adds Taif as the airline's fifth destination in Saudi Arabia, joining Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Madinah.
The airline aims to offer better travel options and greater convenience. Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, said, "Expanding into Taif not only reinforces the strong economic and cultural links between the two nations but also allows the airline to better serve its guests by providing more options and flexibility." He called this move a strategic step in Oman Air’s regional growth.
Abdulkarim al Darwish, President of Middle East and Africa Markets at the Saudi Tourism Authority, welcomed the addition. He said the new flights will improve access for travelers from Oman and support Saudi Arabia's goals to increase tourism, business trips, and regional partnerships.
Oman Air’s new Muscat-Taif route is part of a larger plan to boost economic and cultural ties in the Gulf and offer more travel and trade opportunities between Oman and Saudi Arabia.
