Jaipur High Court Evacuated Again After Latest Bomb Threat on Dec 9, 2025
December 9, 2025
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, the Jaipur Bench of Rajasthan High Court was evacuated again following a bomb threat email. The High Court’s Chief Protocol Cell registrar received the warning, prompting immediate police action. This is the second day in a row and the fourth bomb threat received by the court in 40 days, with previous threats on October 31, December 5, and December 8.
The high alert led to the deployment of the bomb disposal squad, quick response team, and the dog squad from Jaipur Police Commissionerate. The entire court building at Bhagwant Das Marg was emptied. Police searched all courtrooms, corridors, lawyers’ chambers, parking, and administration areas thoroughly.
All court hearings were stopped, and everyone inside—the judges, lawyers, and litigants—was moved out for safety. Lawyer Javed Chaudhary said, "Such repeated threats disrupt judicial proceedings and delay hearings, which affects the disposal of cases. It adversely affects the efficiency of our judicial system which is already stretched."
The Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Manish Agarwal, who led the search, confirmed that no suspicious items were found. He called the threats attempts to "create panic." Police are using technical methods to trace the email senders. Meanwhile, security at the court will be made stronger with tighter checks, entry inspections, and better surveillance.
The Rajasthan High Court’s main seat is in Jodhpur, while this Jaipur Bench functions separately. All prior bomb threat emails have proven to be false alarms, but the repeated warnings continue to disrupt court work.
